DRIVER'S EDUCATION COURSES
Driver’s Education assumes the primary role in the process of getting a license.
A minor (
teenager) has to complete a course if he or she wants to drive
.

A minor is a person under 18 years of age. Minors must have their application for a driver license or any
change of license class signed by their parents or legal guardians.
If you are between the ages of 15 and
a half
to 18, live in California, and want to obtain a driver’s license; you will have to follow few
steps:

1)  Complete the application requirements
2) 
Have your parents’ or guardians’ signatures on the DL 44.
3)  If you are between 15 and a half and 17 and a half, provide proof that you have
      met one of the following requirements:

omplete Driver Education (DE) and Driver Training (DT).
5)  Pass a Traffic Laws and Road Signs test
6)  Obtain the provisional permit. The permit is not valid until you start your behind
      the wheel driver training with a driving school instructor or reach age of 17 and
      a half years of age.


As required (#4) you must complete a driver’s education course approved by California
DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) Once you complete the course, you are issued a
certificate of completion and are two steps away from  driving.
