DRIVER'S EDUCATION COURSES Driver’s
Educationassumesthe primary role intheprocessof gettinga license.
A minor (teenager)
has tocomplete a course if he or shewantstodrive.
A minor is a person under 18 years of age.
Minors must have their application for a driver license or
any
change of license class signed by their parents or legal
guardians.
If you are between the ages of
15
and
a half to 18, live in California, andwantto obtain
a driver’s license; you will have to follow few
steps:

Complete the application requirements 2)
Have your parents’ or guardians’ signatures
on the DL 44.
3) If you are
between 15 and a half
and 17 and a half,
provide proofthatyou have
met one of the following
requirements: 4) Complete
Driver
Education (DE) and
Driver
Training (DT). 5) Pass a
Traffic
Laws and
Road
Signs test 6) Obtain the
provisional permit. The
permit is not valid until you startyour
behind
the wheel driver training with a
driving school instructoror
reach age of 17
and
a half years of age.
As
required (#4) you must complete a
driver’s education course
approvedbyCalifornia
DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) Once you complete the course,you areissued a
certificate of completion and are
two steps away fromdriving.
